Capabilities
We deliver specialized defense consulting where operational credibility matters most: training, assessment, and program management for strategic-level command and control missions.
Our Approach
National Standard Consulting exists because some missions require advisors who have done the work, not just studied it. We bring direct operational experience to every engagement and staff each effort with cleared professionals who understand the environment, the stakeholders, and the standards.
We scale to fit the requirement. Whether the task calls for a single subject matter expert embedded with your team or a full training cadre supporting a multi-agency exercise program, we build the right team from a network of experienced NC3, SATCOM, and C2 professionals with active security clearances.
Service Areas
NC3 Training & Assessment
We design and deliver training programs for nuclear command, control, and communications mission essential functions. Our work includes developing evaluation criteria, building realistic scenarios, training controllers and evaluators, and conducting trend analysis to identify performance gaps before they become mission failures.
We support commands preparing for CJCS-directed assessments, recurring certification requirements, and force-wide readiness evaluations across the national command system.
Protected SATCOM Advisory
We provide subject matter expertise in protected and wideband satellite communications, from terminal-level maintenance through system-of-systems integration at the command level. Our team understands how SATCOM capabilities translate into operational readiness for strategic missions.
We advise on system transitions, operational impact assessments, and integration challenges when new capabilities are introduced into existing command and control architectures.
Exercise Design & Execution
We build and run exercises that test what matters. Our exercise programs apply Joint Training System concepts to create scenarios that stress operational procedures, decision-making under pressure, and multi-agency coordination at the strategic level.
Services include scenario development, exercise architecture and communications plans, controller and evaluator staffing, real-time observation and assessment, after-action review facilitation, and lessons-learned integration into future training cycles.
Program Management
We manage training and exercise programs where schedule performance, technical accuracy, and stakeholder coordination across multiple agencies are non-negotiable. We establish program baselines, build performance measurement frameworks, and deliver the documentation and analysis that leadership needs to make informed decisions.
We are experienced operating in environments that require simultaneous coordination with the Joint Staff, combatant commands, service components, and interagency partners.
Environments We Support
Our team operates in the most demanding security and operational environments in the Department of Defense. We are prepared to support work that requires:
TS/SCI & SAP Access
Personnel with active clearances and eligibility for Special Access Programs and Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) positions.
Classified Networks
Operations on SIPR, JWICS, and other classified networks within fixed and mobile command center environments.
Multi-Agency Coordination
Engagements involving the Joint Staff, combatant commands, service components, and interagency partners across 15+ organizations.
